Lischer Certified Public Accountants was founded by Alan Lischer in 2004. Now more than 20 years old, the firm has progressed from serving clients in a wide range of industries to specializing in working with dental offices and other medical practices. Alan’s goal from the time the firm began was to bring a unique, all-encompassing approach to managing a business rather than just provide the historical accounting data of months, quarters, and years past.

Alan received his undergraduate degree from Presbyterian Collage with majors in Accounting and Business Administration and a minor in Economics. Following that, he received a Master of Accounting with an emphasis in taxation from the University of Georgia. He began his career with KPMG in Atlanta, working primarily in real estate taxation. After becoming a manager, he left KPMG to work with the executive compensation team for Hewitt Associates. There, working with Fortune 100 companies, he learned to think strategically about driving companies to achieve goals that will increase the value of the entity.

Alan married his high school sweetheart Christy, and they have 2 grown children. Nathan is a CPA at Lischer Certified Public Accountants and Jacob is a veterinary graduate of North Carolina State.

The firm has become much more than it was 20 years ago when it was started. The five managers, Brandy, Bri, Jemelle, Kristin, and Nathan, strive for excellence in taking care of clients’ needs. Aiding them is a team of bookkeepers and support staff who work with them making sure all needs are met.
